How to use Scan to PDF carefully

A useful scan should be straight, complete and readable before it is combined into a PDF. Use even lighting, avoid shadows and include the full page boundary without unnecessary background.

Review small text, signatures and page order. Image-only scans may not be searchable or accessible without OCR, and OCR results should be checked against the visible page before important use.

Privacy and limitations

Process a non-sensitive sample first and keep the original file until the result has been reviewed. Browser-based tools are useful for supported everyday tasks, but legal, regulated, signed or highly confidential documents may require an approved specialist workflow and independent verification.
